My wonderful hubby planned a surprise trip for his girls to the happiest place on earth... that's right, Disney World! After spending a whole week packing, we headed to the airport. I was a little worried about the long flight with a 6 month old, but the kids were surprisingly good on the flight.
We had a little lay over in Denver, so we let the girls lay down and get all their wiggles out.
Since we were in Florida we had to get some beach time in... we stayed at St. Pete Beach. Very beautiful white sand beaches.
We couldn't of asked for better weather... and pretty blue skies.
After all that fun in the sun we headed to Disney World. We were all so excited.
The whole place was decorated for Christmas time, and the castle is frosted with ice cycles.
M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!
(*special thanks to aunt Lauri for Kaylees cute Disney outfits! We got compliments were ever we went!)
One of the coolest things about our trip was the food plan... they offered it for free when we booked out hotel... so we could eat what ever we wanted in the parks!
So Nick had been trying to get Kaylee to do tower of terror for awhile, and she kept telling him no... he finally convinced her, with a doc mcstuffins toy that she got afterwords! (don't mind me in the pic above... I was just freaking out! I hate that ride!)
We got lucky on the weather, but it did rain a couple of days... Kaylee was not happy at the plastic bag over her head!
We got more smiles caught on camera from Brooks this trip than we ever have before! So it is true... it is the happiest place on earth!
The tree of life in Animal Kingdom.
This is probably my favorite pic... I love the stepsisters!
Kaylee of course loved meeting the princesses (thank goodness for fast passes! Those lines get so long!)
Matching shirts with my girlies!
Christmas lights at Holly Wood Studios... they had a whole show, pretty cool.
We stayed at Pop Century. The hotel is themed from the 1950s to the 1990s... we stayed in the 1950s section.
Our tiered little girls.
My favorite treat in the whole park...a dole wip! It was amazing. And you can only get them at Disney World... we will have to go back for sure!

Pre-School!
Well, today was the day... I must admit I was a little bit sad when I dropped Kaylee off at school. She was a little nervous, but mostly excited! I can't believe she is old enough for school! Crazy how fast time goes by!
Her school told her to get a regular sized back pack, because they will be doing a lot of art work, and it would get smooshed in anything smaller... the back pack looks as big as her!
Papa gave Kaylee "rootbeer" the little dog key chain, so that she would have a friend to go to school with her.
So yesterday we were walking around Walmart, and Kaylee kept saying that her feet hurt... well we inspected them, and her poor little toes were crammed up to the ends. So of course we head over to the new shoes, and of course Kaylee convinces Nick to buy the light up shoes (that can be seen from space!) Such a push over!
Yesterday Papa took some cute back to school photos.
We of course had to get a back to school pic of Brooks too!

Salamander Flats
This past weekend we went camping up to Salamander Flats in American Fork Canyon. It was so much fun, and really pretty. This is the view from the place that we stayed.
This is Kaylee's "clean" face... it got way worse. She played in the dirt for 3 days straight.
Both of my girlies LOVE camping!!
Grandma, Papa, Mickey, and Alex came to camp with us on Friday night. Mickey was as dirty as Kaylee within 5 min!
Alex loves hiking... its her favorite thing in the world.
Hiking at Cascade springs.
Alex was roasting anything in sight... this is a marshmallow sandwiched between 2 starbursts...
the hoodie twins
We had a great time.. can't wait to go back next weekend!
