Salamander Flats

 This past weekend we went camping up to Salamander Flats in American Fork Canyon. It was so much fun, and really pretty. This is the view from the place that we stayed.

 This is Kaylee's "clean" face... it got way worse. She played in the dirt for 3 days straight.

Grandma, Papa, Mickey, and Alex came to camp with us on Friday night. Mickey was as dirty as Kaylee within 5 min!

 Alex loves hiking... its her favorite thing in the world.

Fathers day

 Happy Fathers day to Nick!
We started our little celebration last night by going to Pizza Pie Cafe for dinner... I think the look on Nicks face pretty much sums up how the evening went... pardon le french, but it was dinner from hell! Brooks screamed the whole time, water glasses got knocked over, and I'm pretty sure the people behind Kaylee wanted to leave! At one point Nick looked at me and we started laughing (it was either that or cry!)

 After we got home Kaylee painted a bird house for Nick... I was quite impressed, she did the whole thing by herself!

Kaylee has said that she wanted to get Nick flowers,  so we decided to make a candy bouquet instead.

 Then we went for a drive in Ogden Canyon... very pretty.

 I thought this pic was so funny... Kaylee is always shoving things in Nicks pockets, and today it was 2 stuffed animals, and some sticks.

And tonight for dinner we got Nick filet mignon wrapped in bacon...its very expensive... like $12 a lbs, so this is only a once in a while treat!! (right Nick??)










We had a great day, with a great dad! We love you.

kaylee's 1st dance recital

Kaylee had her first dance recital tonight. She did wonderful... and it was really fun to see her up on stage.

 Nick bought Kaylee flowers... later on when we got home she said  "dad I'm so glad you got me flowers, cuz when I saw the other kids with flowers I didn't think I would get any, and I was really sad"

 I think Papa had the most fun tonight!!
